What could you do today to live more sustainably?

It seems totally obvious, but I only just did this: Switch to the long-life bulbs instead of the incandescent ones.



I'm not a big fan of paper towels, so in the kitchen we have a big stack of cloth dishtowels that we use whenever we'd normally use the paper version.

My housemate and I follow this simple rule in the bathroom: if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down!



Remembering that reduce and reuse come before recycle.



I could start composting food scraps at home. I could stop shopping in stores and start shopping at Salvation Army, antique shops, and places like the ReStore in Springfield. I could change my car from gas to vegetable fuel, or better yet, ride my bike more, like the Pedal People!

To embody the answer to this question, my joy and duty is to discuss the meaning of "sustainability" with fellow human beings rather than a machine. I am leaving this computer now to go and talk with my friend about this engaging exhibit. Be well, all you folks out there!
