What books, films, websites, or other resources have impacted you about environmental and/or social issues?

When I was just learning to read I got a book created by the EPA called Charlie was Just a Chipmunk. It really moved me, and although I need to work to be "greener" in my life, I never ever littered because of that book.

I've always loved that Ron Fricke film "Baraka" as well as the Godfrey Reggio films that came before: "Koyaanisqatsi" and its various sequels. I always liked "Baraka" best, but maybe that's just because I saw it first. Major props to Al Gore, of course, for his documentary. Al in '08!

Corny though it may sound, "Ranger Rick" magazines meant a whole lot to me as a lad, and I daresay that consciousness of wildlife and ecosystems has stuck with me to this day.

I went vegan my first year of college. I feel better about my impact on the planet knowing that I am eating as low on the food chain as possible.
